can somebody tell me what is happening to my euonymus please. The leaves seem to have been eaten by something. What can I do?

Quite possibly vine weevil.

I agree, very likely adult vine weevil damage. They are mainly nocturnal feeders, so try inspecting with a torch after dark.
A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.

Interesting, we usually only get them our Bravo variety (looks similar to yours), but they don't seem to bother the other Euonymus varieties that we have. Perhaps they are partial to a bit of variegation in their diet.
