Carex Everest plant issue

Hi, I wondered if anyone could advise what is wrong with my one Carex plant compared with the others that seem healthy? Picture attached . Thank you

    They like reliably moist soil. My guess is not enough water. I would cut back the dead foliage, possibly divide it to get rid of any dead roots, and keep well watered.  

    Alternatively, wait until the autumn and divide one of your healthy plants, to replace.

    I agree - they need plenty of moisture to thrive. I'd just remove all the dead stuff. There looks as if  there's a viable bit at the back. 
    Most grasses are best divided in spring though. 
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....



    I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
