Beer can plant pots

Anyone got any ideas what to plant in beer cans I have a few special ones, I’ve cut the lid off and they are so decorative any cool ideas would be greatly appreciated!

And they'd get very hot in the sun so mint or something else that tolerates shade would be good.

Perhaps use them for cuttings or seeding, out of direct sunlight. Kitchen Cress? I have seen wine bottles cut off and they look stunning. The edges are ground flat for safety. You would need to turn the edges of the cans somehow or you risk slicing of your fingers.

Sorry by special, I mean nice designs aha! I enjoy my ales and have a collection of quirky cans! I will grab some photos

Good idea I’ve been using 2 for cuttings already so maybe I’ll carry on with them and then throw some herbs in the others!

I'd find some plastic pots that slip inside the cans nicely and then you can have a rotating display of whatever is looking good at the time. You can take them out to water too which will keep the cans drier and means you don't need to bother with drainage holes.
