Courgette question.

Hi everyone,

first year growing fruit and veg. 

My courgettes have something thin, string-like stalks growing from the base of the plant? Are these runners like you get on strawberry plants? What do I need to do with them?

    Hi @scottperry835 and welcome to the forum 😊 

    They'll be tendrils ... as courgettes are part of the squash family (cucurbits) they can sort of scramble/climb  with a bit of encouragement, and the tendrils help with this. 

    There’s nothing that needs to be done with them. 😊
