Slimey Little Things - ID please?

What the hell is this?  I spent hours clearing it from one of the beds today. It only seems to spawn itself in one area; what are the conditions that facilitate it?🤔🤔

    Liverwort. It favours damp conditions
    In London. Keen but lazy.

    Probably bad drainage in that area.  If you ever see liverwort in pots, it's nearly always an indication that the drainage holes are blocked.
    A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.
