venus fly traps

I sowed last year some venus flytrap seeds.
they have been very successful, but have grown to about 8 -12 inch  and looks like they will flower.
has anybody idea why these have grown tall

    The flower spikes grow tall, if that's what you mean. This is so that the pollinators don't get eaten by the traps. Unless you mean that the traps grew very tall

    Any chance of a photo?

    They don't look like any venus fly trap I've ever seen  :/

    They look like succulents.

    They look like "fat hen" a sort of portulaca type plant that is edible.  I use the young tips in my salad bowl.  Venue fly traps look like a pelican's beak! (well, to me).
    A good hoeing is worth two waterings.
