Pruning Verbena officinalis var. grandiflora 'Bampton'

Hello all. I have two lovely Verbena Bampton plants which appear to be almost finished with their flower stems. I'm not sure if/how to prune these back and whether I can expect a second flush of flowers as the same plants were still flowering last September when I'd planted them.

Many thanks,
James

I would wait a bit longer. It's still early in summer. They tend to send out more side shoots with more flowers further down in the year. You can prune some back to tidy up to see if that generates new growth from the base.
