Air pots

Hi all
Has anyone used air pots in their garden for anything other than fruit or veg?
We’ve just bought our first house which has no garden but a large 4m square balcony / terrace and I’m very keen to make it a leafy terrace, as it’s quite overlooked. We haven’t had any outside space for 15 Years as always rented flats so we’re very keen to make the most of it.

The terrace is east facing and sheltered. One side of the terrace is the two storey east facing house wall and there two fences running off that -  one therefore south facing and one north facing. There’s sun until around 4pm at one end, and the house wall goes into shade at around midday.

Could anyone give me some advice on whether air-pots rather than normal hard sided planters/pots would allow me to grow larger leafier plants, particularly climbers?

Thanks and best wishes

Airpots, as in the things made by Autopot company?

I have used them (15L size) for tomatoes some while ago. They worked very well and produced a massive root system.
The problem is that they dry out in hot weather in no time. Even a thorough watering twice a day in hot weather wasn't enough
Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit.
Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad.

I’ve bought a couple of trees in these: . They had clearly worked in the way they said they would.
