6ft laurel hedge

I want my laurel hedge to be about 6ft in height, should I top them when they are 6ft high or trim them yearly to encourage bushines. When's best time to trip them located in Doncaster

Yes - better to cut them back to encourage bushiness, and you can do it virtually any time, assuming they're in good nick.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
