Can anyone identify this plant. It’s just coming into flower now. Very pretty but I don’t know what it is as I didn’t plant it. It appeared a couple of years ago in the garden.
Ah ok thanks. I thought hebes were small bushy shrubs. This is quite leggy. Would you suggest I cut it back after flowering to create a more bushy plant next year?
Some Hebes can attain the height and spread of a small fruit-tree !
Re:- pruning.......March/April is normally a good time as dormant buds can be seen on the stems . Cut back only as far as these , never into older wood as mostly they never regenerate .
