Clematis Florida Sieboldii

Hello, everyone!

I’ve recently bought this clematis as I liked the flowers a lot. Unfortunately, the label didn’t have a lot of information and when researching online I’ve found out that it might not be fully hardy. Has anyone had any experience with this clematis? Just how hardy is it?

Thank you.

I've had one on a rose arch for over five years I think, possibly more. Does well here. Cut it back quite severely 2 years ago and it did even better! Now waving around on the top of the arch.

It didn't like the winters in Dordogne, down to -7 to -10 sometimes.

Thank you, @Lizzie27. That gives be a bit of hope. I live in East Midlands and I’m on free draining soil (I think), so I hope I have a chance of keeping it alive.

Thank you, @Busy-Lizzie. I think the plant information on the label should definitely include hardiness.
