What bugs are these??



Any idea what insects these are? Seen the orange/black one on my rose tree before, doesn’t seem to leave it i don’t think? Never seen the brown/white one before?

    The orange one is a ladybird transforming itself from the larval stage to the adult stage.
    Apophthegm -  a big word for a small thought.
    If you live in Derbyshire, as I do.

    Top one looks like Oyster scale.

    Keep an eye on the bottom one, you might get to see the ladybird emerge.

    They come out yellow and then slowly turn red and get their spots as their shell hardens, I was really chuffed to see it last year on one of my clematis.
