When to prune (Geraniums)...

Hi we have 3 geraniums which I haven’t pruned in 2 years. They have become really leggy and annoying I’m the sense they are just draping over the other plant!

Therefore 3 questions :)
1) when is a good time to prune?
2) how much should I prune?
3) how long will it take for them to grow back?

Thank you in advance from a newbie :)

Cut them back to the ground when you see more green than flowers, they’ll soon grow again, some re flower some don’t.  But they all grow nice fresh green.

Also - Give them a good water after cutting back if the soil is a bit dry.
