Sambuka

Advice please. Large sambuka is obscuring my rose tree which is starting to flower. Can I cut the branches from sambuka without causing damage to the plant or is it best to wait until it stops flowering. Thankyou

    Hello Pat  :)
I'm guessing you mean Sambucus or Elder. It depends how much of it you want to cut back l would think, if it's just a couple of branches it should be ok.
Maybe a photo would help, to give some idea of how much.

Thank you for that. Yes it would only be a couple and perhaps not even a third of the length. It's just so we can actually see the rose tree in the shrubbery
