Geranium Macrorrhizum Too late to divide and move ?

I've had a look online which suggests either April or May is a suitable time for propagation. I have a large clump that I would like to move. Have I left it too late this year ?

  • It could be moved now, but there is a risk of the plant suffering if there are drought conditions and roots don't establish. If you decide to move it, remove some of the top growth to minimise stress to the plant and keep it well watered.

Thanks for that I might be tempted to move half of it and keep an eye on watering it well

At this time of year I shear my G. macrorrhizum to almost ground level and I get a second flush of growth and flowers so I think moving it would be worth a try and take on board yorkshirerose's suggestions regarding watering in drought conditions.

Thanks for that. Will definitely go ahead with moving half of it
