What to do with bellis and sweet william as they've finished flowering?

I have bellis bellissima and sweet william in pots that have almost finished flowering.

Will they keep until next year if I move the pots to a sheltered location?

Will they flower again?

Or are they done flowering and is to be treated as annuals and thrown out?

Also the bellis pot has lots of ants wandering in between the leaves. Is that normal? 

I don't mind the ants as long as they do not cause any harm to the plants.

Re: the bellis, they are classed as perennials so in theory they should flower again

It's possible that the ants are in the pots because the compost is dry.
