It's one of the weedy willowherbs.  Don't let it seed or you'll soon find it growing everywhere.
A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.

This is right next to the willowherb - should I leave this one?

Yes, that's Lamprocapnos spectabilis (used to be called Dicentra s.) aka 'lady in the bath' or 'bleeding heart'.  Great for damp shady spots - I have one growing in almost total shade, but they'll grow just fine in full sun.

  • Lamprocapnos goes dormant after flowering. Do not think that is has died!

Brill thank you - that and it’s next door neighbour Houttuynia cordata are going great guns, then lots of messy / weedy stuff elsewhere
in the border. Taking some picking through to sort out - although recent rainfall has helped!
