bugs/flies on chilli plants

Have just noticed lots of green bugs/eggs on my homegrown chilli plants
Also lots of very small flies 
Any ideas of how to sol

    They can be a bit of an aphid magnet sadly. If you have a pump-up spray bottle you can gently blast them off or a spray of soapy water normally kills them after a few daily applications.
    Tradition is just peer pressure from dead people

    I agree with wild edges but I've also heard that hanging those sticky fly strips helps.
