Alliums not flowering!!

Evening!!

I have 6 giant alliums in my garden and they have all grown to nearly 7ft, they each have a flower head on them but they have yet to actually bloom......am I doing something wrong for them to not bloom? Do they need a little push? All my other alliums have bloomed or are running towards fading now.

Any ideas??

Depends the variety. I have white ones which do not flower until July whereas  purple sensation have finished.

If the buds are healthy, just wait. They will open when they are ready, not when you want them too!

If they are Little Drummer, then mine still have a very long flower bud at the top of a 6ft stem. They open in late June.   Purple rain flowers early and is most used for Chelsea, A. christophii are flowering now. Everest is just finishing, Little drummer is yet to open.
