Cherry tree

Bought new cherry tree (fruit), prepared and planted in my meadow garden. Staked. However, next two days high winds and all the leaves have drooped. Is the poor tree redeemable?

    Have you been watering it?  Newly planted trees are almost totally reliant on you for the first year or so and you can't rely on rain to do the job.  If you are not already doing so, I would give it 2 bucketfuls (slowly poured onto the roots so it soaks in), twice a week and more often in hot sunny weather.
    A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.

    Yes. Good drink every evening. Planted nigra tree just a metre away from it and it seems fine.
