Probably powdery mildew. Keep it well watered they normally recover ok.

Is it in a pot? They hate being in containers. Honeysuckle needs to be planted in a cool shady corner in soil containing lots of organic matter, where they can receive lots of water and where they can reach up into the sun.

Yes I will now after your advice this is the pot it came in, can you not plant them in pots if you want them as patio climbers

Honeysuckle just isn’t suited to pots. They need a long cool rootrun and pots warm up too much and dry out too much.

If you want climbers for patio pots there are some special clematis developed for growing in containers. Some here https://www.taylorsclematis.co.uk/Clematis-BOULEVARD-Collection-Patio-Clematis/

There is this variety of honeysuckle which seems to have been selected for growing in containers. I have got one and it seems to be doing ok so far. Out of stock though at the moment.

But that’s tiny ... only one metre tall by one metre wide?  It’s pretty but ... not what I want from a honeysuckle. ☹️

No I only put it in the pot to start climbing once it got slightly bigger I would have planted on

My comment was in response to Ynnead’s recommendation of
