Geranium rust

Is there anyone familiar with rust on geraniums.  My geranium has got rust on the leaves. I have disposed of the leaves infected. . do I need to destroy the plants. Many thanks for help Valerie

    I just grab them and cut off to the soil, they soon come back with lovely fresh green and maybe flower again if it’s a type that flowers twice in a season.

  • Thanks @Lyn. these are the large bedding type geraniums,  not the hardy ones so I’ll probably need to get rid of the whole plant. Valerie

    Pelargoniums then,   Try cutting them back. They may be ok.

  • @Lyn , to be honest if I cut them back there will be nothing left, but will do as I’m trying not to spray. Valerie
