Has anyone ever purchased from these guys? I fancy buying the buy one get one free banana trees they have but I'm a little wary as I've never heard of them before.

I’m automatically wary of anything that has ‘Direct’ as part of their name be it Kitchens, Bathrooms, Plants or whatever ... I don’t know if anyone had had good experiences with Blooming Direct but if I wanted a banana tree I’d go to a tropical plant specialist ... in my experience you usually get what you pay for in this world.

  • I ordered some cheap hanging basket plug plants from them in May and they were ok, but not as healthy as the plug plants I ordered from Sarah Raven and Hayloft. I agree with Dovefromabove, you get what you pay for and with mail order plants that has definitely been my experience (with the exception of the secret gardening club which is cheap and usually good quality)!

Thanks both. I will give it a miss i think, they have very mixed reviews on the internet. So I'll go elsewhere.

    Try https://www.urbanjungle.uk.com/  .... they're brilliant.

I have no connection with them except as a satisfied customer.

    Thanks dovefromabove. Appreciated.
  • I ordered a lemon and orange tree from Blooming Direct. The orange is flourishing but the lemon is dead. It was 44 days since delivery so they refused to do anything. And they have a guarantee that they will replace any hardy plant if it fails. But even though their own description said “winter hardy to -5c” they said it wasn’t hardy. Really bad customer service in my view. Will never shop there again.
  • Can someone please tell me if blooming direct are still in business . Every time I put their details into google it sends me to you garden website
    thanks in advance
