Majorie seedling plum tree

I have a majorie seedling tree which has been growing for about 5 years and it has never flowered at all. I thought they were self fertile but no blossom! Can I do anything to encourage flowering and to bear fruit ? Many thanks in anticipation 😁

Plum trees usually take about 5 years before they start flowering, so fingers crossed for next year.  Is it in the ground?

I have one that’s about ten years old and it’s a shy little thing. I don’t think it is one of life’s extroverts. Better luck next year.🤞

To give it every chance, keep it well (and deeply) watered throughout any dry periods and try and keep the area around the base free of grass and weeds etc., as fruit trees can't compete with those.  If you can give it a few chicken pellets or a sprinkle of fish, blood and bone once a year in spring then mulch the area with compost or bark etc., it will have everything it needs which should increase the chances.  :)
