Fatsia leaves

Hi my Fatsia has dark brown marks on the leaves, not sure what is the problem, we have seen ants on it but washed them off but doesn't look too good, we ve had it for about 4 years or more n moved house nearly two years ago. It is outside in a large pot, l would hate to lose it, Some of the new leaves looked a bit sad coming through but some on other side are ok, don't want it to spread

How long has it been in the same pot, and have you fed it at all? The leaves that aren't turning brown look a bit pale (or it could be the lighting/photo). Also, has it had enough water during the dry spring that we've had? In pots they need more than many people think.

They really aren't happy in  pots long term. It's very hard to keep them well hydrated, and they need decent soil to support the amount of fleshy top growth they have. It has to be a considerable size of pot, and they need regular checking to ensure there's enough soil for the root system. 
That's more than likely scorch from sun. They're best in shade.
