Damage to Echeveria leaves

Hi, we bought a new echeveria last weekend and planted it straight away into our rockery. It seemed to be doing ok but today I noticed some damage to its leaves. I have attached a couple of photos in the hope someone might be able to diagnose it or if there’s more than one thing going on! We have been careful not to over-water it although had a lot of rain yesterday which we obviously can’t help.
Thanks in advance

Could be slug damage if outside?

We keep ours in pots, and so far (touch wood), they haven't shown any signs of slug damage.  Might be worth trying that instead of the ground.  They are very easy to propagate from leaves, so if you are tempted to pull off any unsightly leaves, why not try to see if you can propagate additional plants from them.

Ok thanks. I put some egg shell and grit around it this evening so hoping that might deter any more pests but will keep an eye on it.
