Lifting/storing tulip bulbs

Hi everyone.  I have been as patient as I can and the foliage on my container tulips has begun to die back.  Normally can’t be bothered but thought I would lift and store this year.

Bulbs are now lifted.  Any advice on how best to store.  Should I wash soil off and let them dry out like a dahlia?  Trim the roots?  Store in cool, dark place?

Also are the little bulblettes worth keeping?  How long would they take to bulk up into a full size bulbs?
