It's been scorched by the sun probably. It'll drop that one and grow more. Normal for evergreens to drop leaves anyway, and they'll do it more often when stressed - usually by weather conditions. They like moisture and some shade. Scorching hot sun is hard for them to deal with

Thanks, that’s reminded me @Fairygirl to move my potted Camellia into a shady spot since it’s well finished flowering. Not that we have seen much sun here lately but at least all that rain means it’s been getting a good drink!
