hellebore - aphid infestation

My hellebores, which had seemed to be so happy in a clay-y, darkish/ damp bed - look sick, and I think are infested with aphids.
tips welcome...
(I prefer to garden organically).

Hi Catherine,I was given this plant disinfectant recipe and tried it on some roses that were covered  as yours, it worked with one spraying but I gave them a second just in case and they are now fine, hope this might help,,,Disinfectant Spray to make one litre, Shake before use every time, more than one spray may be needed, every 7 days until recovery of plants.
    2 Teaspoons, Baking Soda,
1 Teaspoon  veg oil,( Rapeseed oil, ) ( Neem oil is best )
10 drops liquid Hand Soap, ( Organic is best )

  • thanks, Alan - my roses have a few aphids too - I did spray them with mm what I remember in the past - and thought it was good too.
it'll take me a little to assembly the ingredients, but I hope to give it a go!
    thanks, again.
