    Hello Cathy :) ,
Was it Evergreen 4 in 1 by any chance ? Don't take  this the wrong way, but did you follow the instructions on the pack and have you watered it in well ?

  • hi I believe it was that yes I don’t have the box anymore to refer back to the name and make. I’m assuming I’ve used to much and it killed my grass 😕 I’m a newbie at all this and admitly just ‘throw some on’ :(

It's unfortunate that you didn't read the instructions, too much of the stuff and it can leave your lawn looking a right mess, but it is salvageable.
If you haven't done so already, give it a good watering ASAP.
There's another thread here which may help  :)

That'll be it. You need to spread feed & weed stuff thinly and evenly, and no more than the instructions say. Keep it watered and wait. It might grow back given time. If not you'll need to rake out the dead bits and reseed the bare patches.

Don't worry, I'm sure most of us have done similar things - I know I have. That feed & weed stuff is easy to overdose. The first time I used it I used a wheeled spreader but I overlapped a bit and got black stripes.

  • Oh dear, im glad I’m not the only one, I’ll just stick to cutting my grass and putting grass seed down can’t go wrong there. :)
