So a bunch of seeds were mistakenly sown about the garden, and there are things coming up but no one's sure if they're plants or just weeds. Could anyone possibly identify them? There's this one:

and this one:

If they are a result of the seeds, they will be vegetable plants of some sort, but they could very well just be weeds. Thanks for any help or thoughts you can give!

Cucumbers or courgettes to my eye.  Fairly sure they are not weeds.

As KOG says - also possibly squash - maybe even melon!

I agree, it could be any of the cucurbits mentioned by @KeenOnGreen or @Pete.8

Thanks guys, I thought they looked like cucurbits as well, only as far as I know there were no squash etc seeds. Somewhat of a mystery. I think I'll just let them grow on for now. Thanks again for your input everyone!

Did you have any part of a cucumber/courgette/general squash in your compost?  A mistake I will not repeat although I did grow some of the plants out of curiosity!

It's my stepfather's so I'm unsure, but it could very well be a possibility. There's not much else growing where they are though, so I think I'll let them grow for a bit for curiosity's sake! Wouldn't mind a free cucumber or two haha.
