The name of the Rose?

Hi
Earlier this year I planted a pot grown rose which is not what I purchased. The label said "Remember Me" which is what I ordered but that rose is a bright orange colour.
Just wondering if anyone haswhas anran idea of the rose i have got?
Thanks
Richard

...looks as though you might have 'Rhapsody in Blue'... wait until the flower opens, and show it again if you can...  not the rose you wanted, but some might say ''lucky you'' !..

  • Good suggestion Marlorena, however the plant I have, has a pale outer surface to the petals, and pictures of Rhapsody in blue seem to show petals which are a deep purple colour on the inside and outside.

..wait until the bloom opens and you have some more to show as well, early ones are not always typical...  'Blue for You' for instance is another with very similar early bloom form to yours, with the grey outer edge, although it produces large clusters and the foliage is different compared to my plant..

...perhaps someone who has Rhapsody in Blue here can check the foliage similarity or not?..  colours on roses are often lighter in warmer weather, and darker in cooler conditions..

I have Rhapsody in Blue.  I think the shape of the foliage and buds is a match (to my eyes) but your foliage looks much darker and shinier than on my plant. Possibly I just grow it in a mean way.
I've attached a close-up photo of mine if it helps. I hope you find out what it is and more importantly that you like it🙂

  • Hi Victoria
I do like the rose I have even though it's not what I was expecting but I'm not sure it's Rhapsody in Blue just because the outside of the petals is a different colour to the inside. Your rose looks lovely too.
