Soil based compost.

I have two new hydrangeas (Miss Saori) that the grower has suggested planting in John Innes No2, trouble is I can't get any anywhere. I have some good quality multi purpose compost, could I mix that with some purchased bagged topsoil, would that be the same sort of thing?

    I think that sounds a good compromise ... it’s what I’d do.

I think at this time of year it’s important to get them planted into their new containers ... I hope they’re nice and big 😊
