Fruit & veg
Anyone have any ideas why my beetroot are wilting, they are planted in a veg trug, in a mostly shady area?

Just out of interest, did you grow those in seed tray or modules first?

I planted them directly into the trug. As I did plugs last year and they didn’t do well either.

Ok, just that I don’t find they transplant very well.
You’ve got some fresh green there, give them time, they may grow on.
They may have just popped up as we had that cold spell the other week.

Try seeds and sowing directly in the trug. They germinate quickly and there's still time for several more sowings this year.
A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.
