Grass patchy and not growing

👋 hoping you can advise on some tips please.  We have had our lawn dethatched, dressed and seeded.  Watered as instructed, every other day.  It has now been nearly two months and to be honest, I feel I've wasted over £300 having a lawn company in to do it as it doesn't look any different apart from no thatch.  I cant keep watering as the water bill is going to be crazy, so, do you think leave it and wait until the rains come and then seed and treat it myself?

Yes, that would be a good plan. Seeding is probably best left until autumn now. If you get wet weather before then, it might improve a bit. I usually do my scarifying in autumn because the grass seems to respond better then than in spring (sandy soil here, and on the dry East side of England).
