Shading needed for container plants

Hi. I have some green plastic mesh I use to shade some hostas in pots from morning sun in the summer. I also need to protect some begonias sitting in bowls on a wall.  Does white frost fleece work, or anything else? I’ve far too many containers to move them all.  The hostas are on north facing wall, but catch the morning sun.  thoughts welcome, thanks
