Sweet peas around a shed...

Hi. I have grown some sweet peas from seed and are currently in individual pots with supports.

My plan is to put them on a shelf on the outside of the shed and then I have placed garden wire tightly on screws around the shed for it to grow on.

Will this be strong enough? And also what size pots will I need for one individual sweet pea?

Thank you in advance

    I doubt that would work.
They need a lot of food and water, so they need a sizeable pot, and it would be difficult to maintain them
Why do they need to be on a shelf?
A large pot - 15 inches or so in diameter, on the ground, will take up to about 10 sweet peas if you look after them well

Only because there is a shelf there at the moment :) thinking of ways to make a feature. Theoretically if I had a 3 inch pot per sweet pea plant could it work? If well looked after feed etc

No. You'll never sustain them in something that small  :)

Thank you :). Anything that I grow on a shelf that would spread/work?

I'd need more info - aspect, size of shelf etc. A  pic would help.
I grow dianthus and small bulbs in pots on my shelf. When the bulbs are over, I put sempervivums and herbs etc there instead.

Part sun. Shelf is around 750mm by 200mm. Currently have marigolds growing well on there but was after something that could climb. Could fit some pretty big pots on if needed can bulk shelf up :)

That's massive. Are you sure that's the size?

I'd just put three pots [about 7 or 8 inch diameter] all the same on there with nasturtiums. Some of those climb, or hang down.
Or just some other annuals - I don't really grow them though. Someone else may have suggestions for that   :)
