What's happening to my Rhodadendron?

My Rhodadendron has just finished a little growth spurt with a new set of leaves.

However the old set are starting to droop and some of the newer ones are going brown. The worst affected ones were by a jolly with I thibk was tearing them so I've moved that. But there is brown around the edges of the new ones. The plant gets some sun in the morning but then is in the shade. Its watered regularly.

Does anyone have any thoughts on what is making the leaves do this?

Thanks in advance.

It needs to be in the ground. The pot is far too small for it. If you can't get it in the ground, you'll need to find something much bigger. The pot will be full of roots and not much else.
Keep it out of hot sun too - that fries the leaves, especially if you get water on the foliage. Late aternoon and evening sun is easier for them to deal with.
New growth can get damaged by wind/frost etc too.

I didn't understand some of your text though.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
