It does happen. A few years ago, lots of folk bought 'gardener's delight' tomato seeds (from various suppliers) but the plants which grew were something else which had yellow tomatoes. A mix-up at the seed growers who supply the same seeds to many companies who simply put them in their own packets (and charge varying prices I may add.) Because of the nature of these supply chains, things sometimes go wrong.
A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.
