How often to water cordyline

Hi,
Just a quick question, how often should I water these cordyline plants? I saw a couple different answers elsewhere and want to keep them healthy, I plan to put them in the ground but not quite yet. The big one is around 30cm on the trunk size.

They dont like totally drying out so when we have had a dry spell, I give it a good deep water. If the weather is mixed I just keep an eye on it to make sure it isn't bone dry.
