Is my Mango too leggy?
Can it be pruned?
It's five months old.
Thanks

considering it needs to grow big enough to support the weight of Mangoe's I'd say it is a few years away from worrying about pruning. Looking good though.

From the architecture in the picture I am guessing you live in Spain? Should be a good climate for them there at least.

I doubt you'll get it to bear fruit in a pot so find a good spot to plant it first.

If you snip the top off it'll send out lots of shoots and make it bushy.
Give it 20 years and you may be picking your first mango - they are huge trees

But is snipping off the top a good or bad thing at this early stage?

I suppose if you want to grow it into a tree, don't snip the top off. The stem will strengthen blowing in the wind.
If it's just something you're doing for amusement, then a bush would probably be more manageable, and if that's what you'd like then snip the top off.

I'm not sure if there are any mango growers on the forum
