Plant or Weed

Hi
I think the plant below is a Geum Aleppicum, which is I believe a perennial weed.

Can anybody please confirm. This is the 3rd weed which I think has come through a batch of multipurpose compost as they are all in the same area of the garden and such problem in previous years. Thanks in advance.

I think you're right even if the colour looks more like Geum Urbanum. If you don't want it there...get it out. After all what's a weed, other than a plant in the wrong spot?
