Lupins

I recently built myself a raised bed and filled it with premium loam topsoil and planted a few plants and shrubs. They have been in about 3 weeks now and everything is doing fine except my Lupins. Half the plants look healthy and the other half look like they are dying. Is there something I can do to help them?
Thanks Gary

Looks like they need water, and the buttercup or whatever it is,  is choking the one in picture 2.
We had cold nights last week, ice here, a few leaves suffered then this week very hot sun.  Give them a good soak and see if they pick up.

I do give them plenty of water on an evening but the loam topsoil is very sandy so maybe it's just soaking straight through. I'll go give it another soak now. Thanks for your input Lyn
