Amelanchier Lamarckii (snowy mespilus) Root System
in Plants
As a new gardener, I planted two Amelanchier Lamarckii (snowy mespilus) trees (3.5m tall) in my garden 18 months ago by way of recommendation and I am trying to find out more about their root system. The trees were planted 6.5m from the house in the centre of a planting bed 2.5m square and have grown and flowered fine with no issues. There is paving around the planting bed and so I just want to understand if there will be any future problems with how far the roots extend and them lifting paving slabs or effecting the foundations of the house. Any advice or information would be much appreciated.

I've not seen any problems caused by them
I have 2 in the garden and the root system seems mainly fibrous, so I don't think you need to be concerned
