Daphne leaves dropping

Have a young daphne “spring herald” in a pot with erricasious soil but leaves going yellow with brown patches any help thank you

My daphne loses leaves every spring when the new shoots arrive, so I don’t think thats unusual.  It does look like its in a very small pot though, might be a good idea to move it to a larger one, or (if at all possible) get it into the ground so that it can get all the goodness it needs.
