What tree is this please?

Was doing a walk over weekend and saw plenty of trees covered in these flowers. Anyone know what tree this is please?

    The old country name is ‘May’ ... and the flowers are ‘May blossom’ ... hence the old saying ‘Ne’er cast a clout ‘til May be out’ ... (don’t take off your thicker winter clothes until the May blossom has opened as it’s only then that warmer temperatures are reliably here).

    Its a really useful hedging plant and is found all over the English countryside as it was commonly used to provide a stock-proof hedge ... it’s sometimes known as ‘Quickthorn’. 

    A great plant for wildlife.

    Thank you guys. It is a beautiful tree and the flowers are divine. And despite being quite delicate the flowers tend to last a fair bit as a cut flower.

    I assume the one in the picture above is the comon hawthorn crataegus monogyna?

    Yes ... the one in your pic is the ‘common or garden’ native hawthorn ... glorious  <3
