Oak tree leaves - black and brittle

lockabeelockabee Posts: 3
Hello, am after a bit of help with trying to figure out what might be going on with these oak trees I’ve tried looking online for what it might be, but I am at a bit of a loss!

Could it be anthracnose or environmental or something else?

Any help would be appreciated, as we are trying to plant a large portion of our farm with various trees, and these are ones that have self seeded.

I am also a very poor excuse for a gardener and know next to nothing!

We’ve had some, but it only seems to have affected a few of the smaller ones.

only time will tell if the new leaves go the same way.
I'd clear some of the grass underneath, it'll give them more moisture and less competition.

That’s one of our jobs on the to do list is to clear the grass away (and brambles.. lots and lots of brambles..) but thank you was just a bit worried, so will keep an eye on them!

And thank you for the welcome :)
