Help! Leaves turning yellow 😭

Hi, does anyone know what type of climber this is??

The leaves are turning really yellow - is this an issue?? 😬

Also the buds are really drooping - am I doing something wrong? I am watering it every few days. I have also fed it with fish, blood and bones.

Thanks in advance!

You can see in the photos how much more yellow the leaves have gone.

It looks like a Trachelospermum Jasminoides climber. The pale looking leaves look like young leaves.

On some evergreen plants they take a short while to develop more deeper green colour. I think there is nothing there that looks worrying to me.

    Yes I agree.
The young foliage is paler and will turn darker.
Shortly it'll be smothered in fragrant flowers too

  • Oh phew! Thanks both for replying - this is good to hear!

The plant does seem to have black spot on some of the leaves - so you think the new growth will die if I spray it with a fungicide?

    Thanks

A few black spots on the older leaves that have been through winter is to be expected - fungicide will have no beneficial effect and the leaves will drop naturally.
It looks a really healthy plant - keep it watered and some feed now and then and it'll continue to grow well for you.

If there are sticky sooty deposits on the leaves that's something else - let us know

  • Thank you! Ok I'll leave the fungicide spray alone. That's good to hear it looks healthy! I have no idea whether I'm watering enough or too much. How much water would you say? At the moment I'm watering it every four days, and have fed it with fish blood and bones feed. No idea if that is right!

Stick your finger in the soil up to the first joint ... if it can feel moistness then it’s ok ... if it feels dry it needs watering. 😊
