Iris question

kerankeran Posts: 40
My Irises are all in bud and are about to flower.  Quick question, should I cover them with frost being forecast for the next few nights? I was going to wrap something loosely around them and maybe cover the soil too.  Any advice? Thank you.

    What type of Irises ?
Although in all honesty, I don't think any of them need protection.

I've got several clumps of tall bearded iris - they seem to be completely hardy.
White City is in flower and Dusky Challenger just about to bloom
I don't think you need to be concerned

Sounds like Iris sibirica but as Punkdoc says, don't fret, they're hardy.

Many thanks for your speedy replies.  They are so beautiful and I really didn't want to loose them in the frost that is forecast for the next 3 nights  :)
