Young peas

Hi. I’m very new to growing veg and the peas I’ve planted are about 2-3 inches tall but they’re being battered by the wind. Is there anything that can be done or is it just basically shielding them until the wind dies down? 👍🏼

You could put in some sticks to give them extra support. Or cover with well weighted down fleece. In all though, just do what you can to shield them.

If they are in the ground richard I use 2L plastic drinks bottles with the top and bottom cut off and carefully placed on top. I use this method to deter slugs but it would work just as well for wind protection. Need to be careful if it is very sunny.

Great idea herbaceous!! I’ll try to do that while they are so short if possible.
